Click the Rip Audio CD icon to begin ripping tracks to your computer or player

1. Insert an audio CD into your computer's CD or DVD drive.
2. Click the Rip Audio CD icon (above). The Audio CD Ripper window appears, listing the tracks on your audio CD. All tracks are selected by default.
3. Deselect (click to remove the checkmarks) the tracks you do not want to rip.
4. In the CD Rip Settings box, select the My Computer and/or Music Player checkbox to indicate where your tracks will be ripped to.
5. Click the Edit Settings button to specify where on your computer the tracks will be, or how the track names will be displayed.
6. Click the Start Ripping button.

Tips: In order to identify your tracks later, make sure they are tagged [title, artist, genre, file name] properly before ripping. To tag your tracks, click the Edit or Get CD info button.

Click the Transfer to Player button to copy tracks from your computer to your player

1. Click the right panel and select the folder where you want to copy tracks to.
2. Click the left panel and select the tracks or folders that you want to copy.
3. Click the Transfer to Player button (above).

Warning: Do not disconnect your player while transfer is in progress.

Tips:

• Like other Windows operations, you can select multiple tracks within one window. To select specific tracks, hold down the CTRL or SHIFT key, and click the tracks you want. To select all tracks, hold down the CTRL key, and press the “A” key. The selected tracks are highlighted.
• You can also transfer tracks to your player by dragging them to the right panel.
  

Click the Transfer to PC button to copy tracks from your player to your computer

1. Click the right panel and select the folder where you want to copy tracks to.
2. Click the left panel and select the tracks or folders that you want to copy.
3. Click the Transfer to PC button (above).

Click the Views button to display music files only or all files

1. Click the Views button (above) and select the View All Files option. Music tracks and data files that are on your computer and player will be displayed.
2. Click one panel and select the folder where you want to copy tracks to.
3. Click the other panel and select the tracks or folders that you want to copy.
4. Click the Transfer to Player or Transfer to PC button.

Delete tracks and make space for new ones

1. In either panel, select the tracks or folders that you want to delete.
2. Click the Delete icon (above) in the panel.

Tips:

• Like other Windows operations, you can select multiple tracks within one window. To select specific tracks, hold down the CTRL or SHIFT key, and click the tracks you want. To select all tracks, hold down the CTRL key, and press the “A” key. The selected tracks are highlighted.
• You can also press the DELETE key.
  

Create folders to categorize the files on your player

1. Click the New Folder icon (above) in the panel where you want to create a new folder.
2. Type the name of the new folder.

Note: Your player recognizes up to three levels of folders (folders within folders) only.

Check your player's battery level from Creative Media Lite

Connect your player to the computer. The current battery level is indicated on the bottom-right corner.

Click the Disconnect Player icon to stop your player properly and to avoid losing data

1. Before removing your player, click the Disconnect Player icon (above).
2. Remove your player from your computer.

Protect your hearing by restricting the maximum volume of your player to a comfortable level

1. Connect your player to the computer.
2. Click the Set Volume Restriction Limit icon (above). The Maximum Volume Restriction dialog box appears.
3. Select the Enable Maximum Volume Restriction checkbox.
4. Drag the slider below to choose the maximum volume. Your player will not play music at a volume beyond this level.
5. To require a password to change this setting, select the Protect with password checkbox.
6. Click the OK button. The selected maximum volume level (80% in the example above) is indicated besides the Set Volume Restriction Limit icon.

Notes:

• After protecting the Volume Restriction settings with a password, the same password is required for subsequent changes. If you forget your password, click Forgot your Password? in the Enter Password box.
• The maximum volume output varies for different earphones or headphones.
• The Set Volume Restriction Limit icon is grayed out if no player or an unsupported player is connected.
  

1. Connect your player to the computer.
2. Click the Creative Media Lite icon at the top-left corner.
3. Select the About Creative Media Lite option. The software version is displayed.

Tip: Check for updates by clicking the Check For Updates icon.

Your player's firmware version is conveniently displayed in Creative Media Lite

Connect your player to the computer. The firmware version is indicated below the right panel.
